We had a good experience dining here for breakfast after weeks of craving Hong Kong style milk tea and french toast. Super glad to have tried this place out! Menu is very budget friendly, the portions are huge and the customer service is superb. Will definitely come back to this place.

We ordered breakfast set. Milk tea - Good flavor. Legit. Baked pork chop over rice - The sauce is just ok. Pork chop has bone. Not marinated much. At least no garlic flavor. Fried rice base is good. It's egg fried rice. Congee - Good flavor, good texture. 豉油王炒麵 - stir fry noodle, flavor is good but a bit oily. 混帳腸粉 - excellent sauce. Rice roll well done.

Solid HK cafe in MP – huge portions and legit flavors Finally made it to this HK tea restaurant for lunch last week. I went to the original Monterey Park location, though they also have spots in Rowland Heights and Walnut. Walked in and – bam – full house on a weekday noon. I barely grabbed a small table and immediately started ordering. Baked pork chop with pasta my personal favorite. The cheese pulls forever, the tomato sauce tastes like fresh tomatoes (not canned), and the fried pork chop is juicy and crispy. Huge portion too. So satisfying. Ovaltine French toast When you cut into it, the milk filling just flows out like a little waterfall. Soft bread soaked in sweet milky goodness with a hint of Ovaltine bitterness. Pure bliss. Beef Chow Fun with supreme soy sauce Wok hei for days. The noodles are dry but glossy, the bean sprouts are still crunchy, and the beef is tender. My mom took one bite and said, "If their beef ho fun is good, this place is legit." Sauteed choy sum fresh and crisp, a nice palate cleanser. Portions are huge – we couldn't finish and took leftovers home for another meal. Great value for the price. Will definitely come back for more.

Hong Kong Cafe in Monterey Park is a classic spot for authentic Hong Kong–style comfort food. The menu has all the favorites — BBQ pork, curry dishes , wonton noodle soup, and stir-fried dishes — and everything comes out flavorful, fresh, and satisfying. If you’re craving real Hong Kong–style dishes done right, this place is a solid go-to in Monterey Park. Definitely worth coming back again.

Sadly, I don't think they have a lunch special, but their prices are competitive to help make up for it; give them a try. My to-go order took forever but the wait for the fried rice was worth it. (I think they added shrimp to the fried rice and raised the price because of it...boo 👎) I've been here once to order 2 dishes and now they're a saved location, I have to try more food!!! Excellent fried rice; better than my own, and I know how I like my fried rice. The Chow Fun is basic and tasted kind of plain, but had good slices of beef! Cozy space but not too cozy. Okay seat and table quantity. Average seat quality. This place is easy to miss of you've never been here before. There's a long parking lot with adequate parking. Don't accidentally drive into the supermarket parking lot, there's a fence separating the lots. I hope their other food is as good as their fried rice!!! I will be back with my family to try this place.
